Local political organization elects new executive board
June 29, 2011 (Tampa)- During their monthly meeting, the Tampa Bay Young Republicans elected a brand new Executive Board on Tuesday night. Outgoing President Andrew Dorsey, who could not run for office again due to term limits, has served as President of the Tampa political organization for the past two years.
"Ashley and her team will carry the torch of professional Republican leadership to new heights in the years ahead, I am honored to have served with them and this club," said Dorsey.

President: Ashley Intartaglia
Ashley is the Director of Marketing and New Media for The Victory Group, a nationally recognized, award-winning, political media firm. She is a graduate of the University of South Florida where she received her B.A. in Public Relations. This year, Ashley was named one of The News Service of Florida's "25 Under 30: Florida's Rising Political Class".
Vice President: Mike Norris
Mike is the Governmental Affairs Consultant for Overstreet Wealth Management, Inc. His experience includes serving as Senator Carey Baker's Legislative Aide as well as Senate Campaigns Field Director for the Republican Party of Florida. Additionally, Mike has consulted for candidates to Florida's Legislature, Congress and the Hillsborough County Commission. Mike served in the United States Army's 82nd Airborne Division as a Light Infantryman before graduating from Florida State University with his B.S. in Political Science and Social Science.
Treasurer: Thomas King
Thomas is a Licensed Realtor serving greater Tampa Bay. He worked as the Field Director for Rep. Shawn Harrison's 2010 election. He currently serves on the National Board of Directors for the University of South Florida Alumni Association and is also the Chair of the Alumni & Student Relations committee. Thomas was elected as the Student Body Vice President at the University of South Florida and graduated with a Finance degree from the College of Business.
Secretary: Danielle Butkus
Danielle is a pre-kindergarten teacher at the Florida Environmental Education Center of Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo,and a student at St. Petersburg College. She has an Early Childhood Professional Certificate from the State of Florida with a concentration in Pre-Kindergarten. After completing her A.A. in Secondary Science Education, Danielle hopes to obtain her Bachelors Degree in Biology followed by her Masters Degree in Education.
"The Tampa Bay Young Republicans are where we are today because of the time and energy Andrew Dorsey has invested in this organization. He has been a great leader, mentor, and friend," said Intartaglia. "I am energized and enthusiastic in working with our new board, working with the new FFYR board, getting our club ready for the Republican National Convention, and 2012 elections. There is so much to be done in the year ahead and the new TBYR Executive Board is ready to take this organization to the next level."
